About our Destination
The Valley of Flowers, at an altitude of over 14,400 feet, is one of nature’s many awe-inspiring creations. It is around 30 kilometres ahead of Joshimath in Uttarakhand and is part of the Great Himalayas.
The beauty of this region is such that it looks straight out of a fairytale. When mountaineer Frank Smythe first identified the region back in 1932, he was urged to write a book on it. He called it the ‘Valley of Flowers’, and that is what it is known as, ever since.
While it is a national park known for a wide range of alpine flora unique to the region, it is not just another destination to arrive at. Its beauty lies in the journey through the verdant meadows and freshwater streams best explored on a trek. Mid July to mid August is the best time to witness most of the flowers in full bloom. Let us Escape to the Valley of Flowers! (Please note: this trip spans over a period of 6 Nights 7 Days since it includes a road trip and a trek and back. This gives us enough time to do both without exerting ourselves too much. This trip also involves camping, for which sleeping bags and camping tents will be provided by Escape Route).
